Accor celebrates 20 years in Australia
Starting with only one hotel back in 1991, 20 years later ACCOR has become the largest hotel chain in Australia. ACCOR's growth within the industry is shown when it took out a number of titles during the Accommodation Association of Australia (AAA) Award ceremony.
ACCOR won Hotel Chain of the Year, Silver and Bronze employee of the year, Gold 5 star hotel award for Sofitel Sydney Wentworth along with other prestigious awards won by other ACCOR brands. Simon McGrath, Vice President for ACCOR Australia was also recognised for his work in the industry by winning a prestigious ACES Award, the AAA's highest honour. Amongst all this achievements, Mercure Sydney Airport also took home the Bronze in 4 star Deluxe Award.
