Christmas in July 2011 - Sparkles
On the 27th of July, Mercure Sydney Airport held its annual Christmas in July for all the airport staff at Sydney Airport. It was a wonderful afternoon attended by around 100 guests. This year's event was themed sparkles, and the Grand Ballroom was sparkling from
the silver chair cover to the grand sparkly ornament as centerpieces.
The event was welcomed by Director of Sales & Marketing, Nikki Little, followed by delicious lunch buffet specially prepared by the hotel's Executive Chef. It then followed to a number of games starting with a cocktail making competition. Six teams of two were given all the ingredients from fruits to alcohol to make a new, innovative cocktail. It was then judged by our own Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, Leong Yeoh. The fun continued with a bed making competition and gift vouchers were raffled out for door prizes and Best Dressed Male & Female.
Overall, it was a lovely day filled with fun and laughter and the staff at Mercure Sydney Airport would like to thank the staff at Sydney Airport for their never ending support for the hotel.
